Gaia Veggie Shop (大自然素食): Causeway Bay, Hong Kong
Tonight we met up with El's cousin Alan and his wife Cindy at Causeway Bay (銅鑼灣). Since Cindy's a vegetarian and Alan's pretty much a vegetarian now, we went to Gaia Veggie Shop on the 3rd floor across from SoGo department store.
I've had Chinese vegetarian food before, so I wasn't expecting to be blown away. But I was! This was some of the best "ja-I", vegetarian (素食), food I've had. Not only was the flavor and texture very reminiscent of the dishes they were mimicking, the creativity of the presentation was very pleasing to the eye.
After all was said and done, the bill came to 560 HKD (~ $70 USD ... $$$$$) for the 4 of us, and I was stuffed! If you've ever been skeptical of vegetarian food like me, I'd highly recommend checking out Gaia Veggie Shop!

Boy...I was with you on how everything was surreal leaving Southern California...paralleled my travels...except after 3 seconds of feeling bad for you....I realized...it's Hong Kong!!!! Not Fargo...This place rocks and has some amazing food! I would kill for a curry beef bowl. The place looks sweet...Tell El I send greetings from the states. Keep us all updated Eric. You are living a dream!

haha yes it is. Pretty awesome huh? Even though the apt is small, the view makes it feel huge. Can't say I'm complaining, heh
